NPC Generator
Five non-player characters at a time, each with a look, a mood, a want, a quirk and a secret. Built for game masters who need someone behind the bar in the next ten seconds.
Where are the players?
Flesh out your NPC
Your result appears here. The tools above work without AI; this button asks our AI model to write it up for you.
Running NPCs players remember
Give them a want, not a script. An NPC who needs something from the party (a debt paid, a letter carried) creates a scene on their own.
One sensory hook. A distinctive voice, a smell of pipe smoke or a nervous laugh does more than a paragraph of description.
Secrets pay off later. Keep the secret column in your notes. When the players come back to town, reveal it.

Questions
What makes a good NPC?
One vivid detail players can latch onto (a voice, a habit, a smell), one thing the NPC wants from the party, and one thing they know. Everything else can be improvised.
Is this NPC generator for D&D only?
No. The NPCs work in any fantasy tabletop game (D&D, Pathfinder, OSR games) and in fiction. Pick the location to get fitting roles.
What does "Flesh out with AI" do?
It sends the rolled NPC to our AI model, which adds a first impression, a sample line of dialogue, a useful rumour and what happens if the party crosses them. It only runs when you press the button.
